Randy Barnett and Charles Fried on Health Care Mandate

Randy Barnett, one of the speakers from our September 2011 lecture on the constitutionality of the health care mandate, is featured in a New York Times article this week crediting him with legitimizing the critiques of ObamaCare that were argued before the Supreme Court.

The article also quotes the other speaker from September's event, Charles Fried, criticizing Barnett's argument:

His words “don’t make much sense,” Professor Fried said, “but the music is there.”
